Serhiy Zhadan (1974) is a Ukrainian poet, prose writer, translator, public activist. He is the author of the novels „Depesh Mod“, „Voroshylovgrad“, „Mesopotamia“, „Internat“, poetry collections „Quotations“, „Ethiopia“, „Life of Maria“, „Templars“, „Antenna“ and others.
Literary works by Serhiy Zhadan received numerous national and international awards, and are translated into twenty two languages, making the author one of the most famous contemporary Ukrainian writers. Serhiy Zhadan is also an active organizer of the literary life of Ukraine and a participant in multimedia art projects.
Serhiy Zhadan translates from German, Polish and Belarussian languages.
Since 2015 he is the author of the Meridian Czernowitz Publishing House.
