Olesya Mamchych is a Ukrainian poet who writes for adults and children; born in 1981.
Her first publication was in 1992 (she was 11 years old at the time) in “Sonyashnyk” magazine. Since then her works have been regularly printed in literary periodicals. She graduated from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv where she studied literary art.

Olesya Mamchych participated in many art projects, anthologies and festivals, co-organized literary imprezas.
She lives in Kyiv suburbs in an artist commune with two daughters and is committed to alternative education.

Olesya Mamchych earned a scholarship for talented youth from the mayor of Kyiv (2001) and won a president’s grant for creative youth (2004).
