Chrystja Vengrynjyk (10 September 1987, Chernivtsi) is a Ukrainian writer, a novelist, a poet, a playwright, a specialist in literature, an artist. She is a postgraduate student in Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University and is currently working on a PhD thesis about literary science. Ms. Vengrynjuk is the organizator of youth literature within ‘Meridian’ International Literature Festival. Also she organizes literary evenings in Chernivtsi.

Aneta Kaminska has translated Vengrynjuk’s poetry and prose works into Polish.
Chrystja Vengrynjyk organizes and takes part in a variety of literary and art events. Ms. Vengrynjyk and Mykhaylo Antonyuk contribute a lot of their time and effort to videopoetry of “Pharmakon”. “Pharmakon” won two videopoetry prizes – “Hrak” (2011) and “Buk” (2011).

In 2011 her play “Khvori klepsydry” was included in a short-list of the best plays in “Drama.UA” contest and Chrystja Vengrynjyk won a “Smoloskyp” literary contest. She took part in Polish government’s program aimed for young literature scientists (2010 – 2011).
In 2013 Chrystja Vengrynjyk won an opportunity to participate in Warsaw Festival of International Poetry.
Her works are translated into Russian, Polish, German, English and Croatian.
She wrote forewords for two collections of poetry – “Yakby ty prosto buv” by Iryna Moroz and “Stosontse” by Midna.
Chrystja Vengrynjyk likes painting and currently is a member of “Akadem-Art” studio which is curated by a famous Ukrainian painter Larysa Kuvayeva.
Ms. Vengrynjyk participated in “Krymatsiya” exhibition (2014, Kyiv, 6 paintings) and “Yednayemos’ z krasoyu” exhibition (2014, Chernivtsi, 2 paintings).
BBC included her novel “Khutir Ameryca” in their long list of the best books of 2013.
