Alain Rivière was born in Paris, France. He lives since 1991 in Berlin, Germany, where he works as an artist and a writer. His works (photographs and paintings) have been presented in one-man shows and collective exhibitions. His literary works (poetry, drama, short stories) were translated into English, German, Hungarian and Spanish.
Alain Rivière workedas a proofreader and a translator for several newspapers and magazines. In 2000 he supervised the exhibition “Der Photografische Text” (Stadtbibliothek, Berlin) about the development of literature and photography.
