“A Latvian modern photographer, a participant of the international photo projects and photo exhibitions.
Practicing photography at the university influenced my further development in this direction. My first personal exhibition “Dance in Space” and publication in Teaching photography became a qualification project at the university. Eventually, there followed exhibitions, participation in photo workshops, master classes, meetings with interesting people of Latvian art parties. Photography has opened many doors for my self-expression. Carried away by the creative process, together with my friends I found a young artists` society, called Why5, which organizes exhibitions, Future Shots film festivals, creative projects in Latvia and abroad. At some point I became interested in new approaches to education. Having been taken by the atmosphere of Timothy Person`s lectures, a founder of Photography School in Helsinki, in 2008 I established Arts Educational Center in Daugavpils, where the main accent aims at the development of visual communication. What can be better than creating favorable conditions for the development of creative potential?
