Julian Schutting, a poet, a specialist in Germanic studies, a historian, was born in Amstetten in 1937. He lives in Vienna. Julian Schutting has won a number of literary honors among which there are “Anton Wildgans” (1984) and “Georg Trakl” (1989). Since 1973 more than 40 books have been published.
His most famous collections include: “Der Wasserbüffel” (1981), “Liebesroman”(1983), ), “Aufhellungen” (1990), “Gralslicht” (1994), “Das Eisherz sprengen” (1996), “Jahrhundertnarben” (1996), “Nachtseitiges” (2004), “Zu jeder Tageszeit” (2007), “An den Mond” (2008).
